Technology At Woodlake

At Woodlake Elementary Community Charter we believe teaching our students to use technology as a tool to assist in their educational studies is a necessity.

Students in grades K-3 receive once weekly lessons in our state-of-the-art computer lab, using many popular education and real life applications such as CODE, word processing, keyboarding, desktop and online publishing, slideshow presentations, multimedia presentations, Web 2.0 tools, and web design.  Students in grades 3 thru 5 have 1:1 use of technology in class and learn internet research skills, how to create reports, presentations, graphs and much more.

In the classroom, teachers use laptops, tablets, iPads, digital and video cameras and ELMO projectors.

Students and staff are assisted by trained tech repair staff who ensure technology instruction builds students’ technology skills from year to year both in the class and computer labs.

Thanks to student/family donation contributions to the PTSA, Woodlake continues to teach technology skills in our state-of the-art computer lab and in the classroom.

Computer Wise Kids provides a unique curriculum during weekly computer lab classes for grades K-3 working on a variety of grade level appropriate programs/apps, keyboarding skills, and online safety skills.
